The Knights of Columbus Building, presently known as the Salesian Building, was built in 1926 in downtown Columbus as an athletic club, auditorium, and headquarters for the fast-growing Knights of Columbus. The five-story Italian Renaissance Revival structure was designed by the nationally recognized architecture firm, Richards, McCarty & Bulford, and combines areas of intricate ornamentation with relatively simple and streamlined design elements.
