These three buildings are in the Down­town North Historic District of Winston-Salem, and were constructed between 1922-1950. They once housed grocers, restaurants, and other service businesses to serve a considerable number of near­by tobacco farmers and factory workers. Historically, the district was an area of one- and two-story commercial buildings located just north of Winston-Salem’s Central Business District.
