"The Ravenscroft School was built in the 1840s as a residence. In 1856, the building transitioned into an all-boys school. Today the mansion is used as office space and is identified as the oldest surviving building in downtown.

The Coxe Avenue B & B Motor Company Building was completed in 1925 as a Chevrolet auto dealership. It was also one of the earliest buildings constructed along the newly-opened avenue that would become Asheville’s original auto dealership row. The two-story building featured large display windows at street level to provide visibility into the showroom."
