The 1930’s Winnwood Apartments were among several apartment buildings built to house Atlanta’s growing middle-class to the north and east of the city during a time of significant change in residential development patterns. The Winnwood represented the height of period-apart­ment design that featured internal gar­dens, courtyards, and parking garages.
